Colleen Dean Named Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior gymnast Colleen Dean has been named Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Dean shares the honor with Jessie DeZiel of Nebraska.
Dean took first in the all-around with a career-best 39.600 as the Buckeyes posted a program record 197.625 in a dual meet win against Denver Saturday afternoon. The Sylvania, Ohio, native posted a season-high 9.900 to finished second on vault and a career-best 9.925 to tie for second on balance beam. In addition, Dean tied for third on floor exercise with a 9.925 and fourth on bars at 9.850.
The Scarlet and Gray posted a season high on all four events and broke the previous school event records on both beam and floor.
The Buckeyes are back in action at 4 p.m. Saturday against Penn State in a double dual with the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team.
