COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Michael Brajdic put together an inspired performance at the 2012 U.S. Junior Cross Country Championships in Saint Louis, Mo., placing fourth out of 43 athletes in an 8k personal-best time of 24:59.4.
A regular contributor to an Ohio State squad that placed 23rd at last November’s NCAA championships, Brajdic cemented his status as one of the top young distance runners in the United States by qualifying for the 2012 NACAC Cross Country Championships March 17 in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Jake Lowry of Syracuse won the title in a time of 24:54.3, just ahead of unattached competitors Adam Lutz and Aaron Bartnik – the top 6 finishers will represent Team USA in Trinidad.
