Ohio State Completes Day Two at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team wrapped up day two of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational Monday, scoring an 18-over 306 to bring the Buckeyes’ total to 43-over 619. The event is taking place at the par 72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla.
Freshman Grant Weaver continues lead Ohio State in the overall player standings and finished the day tied for 40th with a 7-over 151. Weaver has recorded six birdies thus far in the competition. Senior Dan Charen concluded the day tied for 45th, improving his second day score to total 153 (9-over) after two rounds of play.
Senior Alex Redfield shot the lowest score of the day for the Buckeyes, finishing 3-over 75 and tied for 56th-place with a two-day score of 156. Freshman Boo Timko shot a 77 in the second round to bring his total to 159 (15-over), while senior Jamison Sindelar rounded out the day 38-over 182. Timko is currently tied for 64th and Sindelar is in 75th-place.
Texas’ Jordan Spieth sits on top of the player leader board with a 6-under 138 performance, while the Longhorns lead the overall team competition as well (2-under, 574).
The Scarlet and Gray will continue with the final round at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational tomorrow with an 8 a.m. tee time.
