Buckeyes Prepare for Start of Season – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The official start of practice sessions are a few weeks away but members of the Ohio State men’s basketball team are hard at work nonetheless.
Individual skill sessions are underway as are classes for the seven newcomers and returning veterans.
Dave Dickerson, in his first year working as an assistant coach for Thad Matta’s Buckeyes, put the Buckeye big men through drills Thursday in the practice facility at the Schottenstein Center.
The Buckeyes begin full team practices Oct. 15. The team will host Walsh in an exhibition game Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. and then open the season officially Nov. 12 against North Carolina A&T. That game, which tips at 7 p.m. in Value City Arena, is the first of 20 home games for the Buckeyes, a school record for home contests in a season.
