Follow Brandon Wynn at the World Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Brandon Wynn, a senior on the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team, begins competition with the United States National Team at 8 p.m. (2 p.m. ET) Monday at the 2010 World Artistic Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Wynn is one of six members on the U.S. men’s lineup to start competition in the first of the two men’s qualifications days (Oct. 18/19).
Wynn, the 2010 U.S. and NCAA champion on rings, will compete on five events in the qualification rounds, including floor exercise, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Five members will compete on each apparatus, with the top four scores counting.
The World Championships features team, all-around and individual event competition. Qualification rounds determine advancement to the team, all-around and apparatus finals. The top eight teams compete in the team finals Oct. 21. The top 24 individuals compete in the all-around final Oct. 22. For individual events, the top eight on each apparatus from the qualification rounds advance to the finals (Oct. 23-24). A maximum of two gymnasts per country advance to the all-around and individual event finals.
