Men’s Lacrosse: Ohio State Well Represented in MLL Semifinals – Ohio State Buckeyes

Three former Ohio State men’s lacrosse players will be on the field Saturday when the L.A. Riptide takes on the Denver Outlaws in the Major League Lacrosse semifinals. Anthony Kelly, Greg Bice and Kevin Buchanan are all members of the Riptide, who finished the regular season with a 7-5 record. Game time is set for 3 p.m. EDT at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass.
Kelly, who was selected to the MLL All-Star Team, is among the league leaders winning 49 percent of his faceoffs. He is second on the team in groundballs with 45. Buchanan, the fifth overall pick in the 2008 MLL Draft, has eight goals and five assists for 13 points. Bice has 35 groundballs, two goals and an assist.
The Riptide won the Western Conference last season with a 9-3 record and advanced to the MLL Championship Game where they fell to Philadelphia 16-13.
The championship game, between the semifinal winners, will be at 1 p.m. EDT Sunday on ESPN2.
