Women’s Lacrosse Announces Schedule – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team will host eight home contests and play at defending national champion Northwestern in 2009, OSU head coach Sue Stimmel announced today.
“This schedule will be a real challenge for our team,” Stimmel said. “The teams in our conference compete at the highest level nationally, and we also face top squads from the ACC, the Big East and the Pac-10.”
The Buckeyes open the season with three February road games: at American, at George Washington and at Notre Dame. Ohio State’s home opener is March 1 against St. Bonaventure. The Buckeyes will also host the ALC-ACC Challenge April 3 and 5, facing Maryland and North Carolina; Penn State will also be part of that field. The ALC tournament will be April 30-May 2 at Penn State.
The Buckeyes will compete in three events this fall: tournaments at Duke (October 5) and Temple (October 18) and a home exhibition match against Cincinnati October 8. The complete 2009 schedule:
