The Massillon, Ohio, native played consistently all day en route to carding 15 pars, tying for most in the tournament.
Patrick Simard shot a 4-over 75 and is tied for 38th. The sophomore from Marbella, Spain had 13 pars on his round, two fewer than the tournament best.
