Ohio State’s total of 12-over 588 leads the rest of the field by three strokes. Tournament host Memphis is second at 591, followed by Mississippi State at 594. The second-round score of 289 by the Buckeyes was their lowest round since day two of the Marshall Invitational, posted last season on April 5.
Senior co-captain Vaughn Snyder had two sub-par rounds and sits in first place at 6-under 138. The Massillon, Ohio, native had seven birdies and two eagles on the day. Snyder’s opening round of 68 was bogey-free and tied his lowest-career round as a Buckeye. He was an impressive 8-under par on par 5’s. Snyder carries a six shot lead going into the final round with three players tied for second at even par.
For the second-consecutive tournament, sophomore Bo Hoag got off to a good start. Hoag, who finished fourth at the Tucker Invitational, is tied for eighth with a total of 2-over 146. The native of Upper Arlington, Ohio, was consistent and steady all day as he carded 24 pars to go along with five birdies in rounds of 74 and 72.

The Memphis Intercollegiate concludes with the 18 holes Tuesday. Because of rain in the forecast, there will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. (CT). Live scoring of the event is available at www.golfstat.com.
