Women’s Lacrosse has two players named to the IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region Team – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has named Jessica Patane (Jr., Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Kristen Slahor (Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) to the West/Midwest All-Region second team. They are part of 128 Division I student-athletes honored by the IWLCA.
Patane scored a team-high 38 goals on the season for the Buckeyes. With her four assists, she had 42 points this season and ranks second on the team. A starter in all 16 games, Patane collected 10 ground balls, 12 draw controls and six caused turnovers. She scored at least one goal in Ohio State’s last 13 games. She was named to the first team of the American Lacrosse Conference All-Conference Team.
Slahor recorded a team-high 73 points on the season to set the Ohio State single season record. Her 45 assists set the Ohio State single season record and she is now the Buckeye career leader in assists with 78. In 16 games this season, she collected 28 goals, seven ground balls and four draw controls. Slahor was named to the second team of the American Lacrosse Conference All-Conference Team.
Ohio State was 9-7 overall for the 2007 season with a 1-3 league record in the American Lacrosse Conference. The Buckeyes finished the regular season ranked 19th in the IWLCA Poll.
