Women’s Lacrosse has five players named to the All-Conference Teams of the American Lacrosse Conference – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The American Lacrosse Conference has announced the 2007 ALC All-Conference teams as voted by the coaches. Ohio State placed Jessica Patane (Jr., Farmingdale, N.Y.) on the first team and had Danielle Gibson (Sr., Springfield, Pa.), Kristen Gilwee (So., Hunt Valley, Md.), Amanda Shimp (Jr., Endicott, N.Y.), Kristen Slahor (Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) named to the second team.
Ohio State placed five players on the two, 12-player teams as did Vanderbilt. Northwestern had seven players named to the team with Johns Hopkins having four and Penn State three.
Conference regular season champion Northwestern received three of the four top honors with Player of the Year, Kristen Kjellman, Goalie of the Year, Morgan Lathrop and Coach of the Year, Kelly Amonte Hiller. Sam Schrum of Johns Hopkins was named the Rookie of the Year.
Nineteenth-ranked Ohio State (9-6) faces 18th-ranked Penn State (8-7) in the opening round of the ALC Tournament Thursday at Johns Hopkins at 1 p.m.
