COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team is tied for fourth place at the Big Ten Championships with 36 holes left to be played. The Buckeyes shot rounds of 295-306 (601) Friday over the first 36 holes at the OSU Golf Club Scarlet Course (par 71, 7,444) in Columbus, Ohio.
Purdue leads the tournament by two shots over Michigan State with a score of 591 (299-292). Pariya Junhasavasdikul (Purdue) is the individual leader after shooting rounds of 69-72 for a score of 1-under 141.
Ohio State senior David Vallina (Burgettstown, Pa./Burgettstown) leads the Buckeyes with a 2-over par 144 (70-74) and is tied for second place.
Third round competition begins at 8 a.m. Saturday.
