The Ohio State men’s golf team leads after Round 1 of the 2007 Big Ten Tournament in Columbus. The Buckeyes shot 295 over the first 18 holes of the 54 hole tournament on The OSU Golf Club Scarlet Course (par 71, 7,444). Michigan State, Michigan and Northwestern are tied for second at 298, three off the lead.
Ohio State is led by senior David Vallina’s one-under par 70, which is a shot behind Round One leader Pariya Junhasavasdikul of Purdue (69, -2).
Teams continued play Friday and will complete the event with 18 holes each Saturday (9 a.m.) and Sunday (8 a.m.).
