Gary Bining Selected in First Round of NLL Entry Draft Former Buckeye chosen by Colorado Mammoth – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State men’s lacrosse player Gary Bining was drafted in the first round of the 2006 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft Wednesday at the Theater Lobby at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Colorado Mammoth picked Bining with the 13th overall pick, the last pick of the first round.
Bining (Delta, British Columbia), a four-year letterwinner at midfield for the Buckeyes from 2003-06, played in 27 games for the squad, posting 10 goals and six assists for 16 points. He did not see game action as a senior in 2006 because of injury. In 2005 he had a career-best six goals and nine points. Bining, who served as team captain as a senior, was a four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
