Biles Completes Season at NCAA Men’s Golf Central Regional – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State junior Colin Biles (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) shot 73 in the final round of the 2006 Men’s Golf NCAA Central Regional in Chardon, Ohio, Saturday. He tied for 56th (71-80-73=224) individually at the Sand Ridge Golf Club (7,173 yds.). Cleveland State University was the host school for the tournament.
Biles, competing as an individual in the three-day 54-hole event, made par or better on all but two holes Saturday.
The top 10 teams and two individuals not attached to one of those teams will advance to compete in the NCAA championships May 31 through June 3 at Crosswater Golf Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
Oklahoma State won the regional competition at 7-under 845 (280-285-280). The Cowboys’ Jonathan Moore was the individual medalist at 8-under 205 after shooting 69-69-67. Teammate Zack Robinson finished second at -5 (71-66-71=208).
