COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team is ninth with 18 holes to play at the 2006 Big Ten Championships following the first three rounds. The Buckeyes shot 291, an 18-shot improvement from the their second round score to finish at 902 (302-309-291) at the par 71, 7,168-yard Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill., Saturday. Indiana leads the event at 4 over 856 (285-288-283). Northwestern is the host school for this event.
Ohio State’s Colin Biles (Jr., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) is tied for 19th individually after a 2-under 69 Saturday. Dan Rush (Fr., Cleveland, Ohio./St.Ignatius) is tied for 27th.
Ryan Brehm of Michigan State is leading after 54 holes with a total of 206.
The final round of the 2006 Big Ten Championships will be contested Sunday.
