Women’s Volleyball plays at Washington Friday in the NCAA Championship Regional Semifinals – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State (25-7 overall) women’s volleyball team has advanced to the Seattle Regional of the NCAA Championship semifinals, Friday, Dec. 8. The Buckeyes, seeded 11th, will face NCAA defending national champion and sixth seed Washington (27-4) at 7:30 p.m. PT in the second semifinal. Third-seeded Penn State (31-2) faces 14th-seeded Purdue (23-10) in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. PT. The semifinal winners return Saturday at 6 p.m. PT to play for a berth in the NCAA National Championship semifinals, Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. Last week in Louisville, Ky., the Buckeyes defeated Belmont, 3-0 (30-22, 30-16, 30-22) in the first round and Middle Tennessee, 3-1 (23-30, 30-19, 30-17, 30-22) in the second round.
Tickets for the NCAA Seattle Regional can be purchased online at GoHuskies.com, by calling the Washington Ticket Office at 206-543-2200 or in person at the UW Athletics Ticket Office. All-session reserved seats are $18 with reserved bleacher seating available for $16. General admission adult tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students, youth and senior citizens. Tickets must be purchased for both sessions until the day of the event.
Ohio State is making its 11th appearance in regional play. The Buckeyes have advanced to the regional championship match three times and won twice to reach the NCAA Championship semifinals. Ohio State has a 23-14 record in the NCAA Championship in 15 appearances.
