Cheerleading Squad Opens Championships Practice to Public – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State cheerleaders have invited the public to attend its “Friends and Family” performance Sunday at 6 p.m. at French Field House. The squad will perform its routine for the national championships, which will be held at Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando Sunday, Jan. 15. The doors near the southeast corner of the facility will be open. The event, which also serves as the Scarlet and Gray game for cheerleading, is free.
Ohio State finished sixth at the competition last season after placing 15th in 2004, seventh in 2003 and sixth in 2002. The Buckeyes earned a second-place finish in 2001 and placed sixth in 2000. Ohio State won the 1993 College Cheerleading National Championship.
The national competition will be televised by ESPN and aired at a later date.
