Ohio State Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team finished sixth at the 2005 Big Ten Championships Sunday with a three-round total of 867. The University of Wisconsin played host to the event at the par 72 University Ridge Golf Course (6,888 yards) in Madison, Wis.
Scott Anderson (Sr., Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) finished the tournament as the top Buckeye golfer thanks to a final round score of four-under-par, 68, to tie for 10th. Anderson finished the tournament with a three-round mark of 215. Colin Biles (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) also finished strong as he fired a final round mark of one-under-par, 71, to finish with a total of 218 and tie for 21st.
Michigan State captured the tournament title with a mark of 847, while Indiana’s Jeff Overton captured medalist honors as he carded a three-round total of 199.
Teams who have advanced to compete in the NCAA regionals will be announced Monday. The East Regional will be hosted by the Southeastern Conference in Nashville, Tenn. The Central Regional will be held in South Bend, Ind., and hosted by the University of Notre Dame. The West Regional will be held in Stanford, Calif., and will be hosted by Stanford University.
