COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will play host to first and second round matches in the Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship this weekend. The Buckeyes (27-2), seeded fifth in the championship will host Dayton (23-8) Friday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. In the first match of the night, Ohio (28-2) will face Pittsburgh (21-10) at 5 p.m. The Friday winners return Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. to play for a spot in the Minneapolis regional Dec. 10-11.
An All-Session ticket is $10 for the three matches and $6 for students. A single session ticket is $7 and $5 for students. All-Session tickets can be purchased in advanced at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Jerome Schottenstein Center or on the web at hangonsloopy.com
This marks the 13th time Ohio State has made the NCAA Championship. The Buckeyes were last in the tournament in 2002. OSU has a 17-12 record in the NCAA Championship and has advanced to regional play nine times. In 1991 and 1994 the Buckeyes advanced to the NCAA National Championship semifinals before losing.
