COLUMBUS, Ohio – Head women’s volleyball coach Jim Stone announced the signing of four outstanding high school student-athletes to national letters of intent. The class of Nicole Britenriker, Danielle Meyer, Brandi Molnar and Ami Stevens is entirely from Ohio. It has two members from the USA Youth National Team and three that are two-time members of the Junior Olympic National Championship Team, Team Z, and were two-time Junior Olympic All-Americans. “All will bring some unique and excellent experiences to our team next fall,” said Stone. “All have been on successful teams and both the high school and junior Olympic levels. Nicole and Danielle played in the 2003 World Youth Championships where they competed successfully against the best players in the world. All can play multiple positions on the court. We are looking at Brandi and Ami as outside hitters. Nicole and Danielle will primarily be middle blockers. That position was not a strong one for us last year. This class has the ability to return our program to the top of the conference. Our program has definitely gotten stronger with the addition of these athletes.”
The class members include:
Nicole Britenriker, a 5-11 middle blocker from Mason High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Britenriker was named All-Ohio in 2003 and was a member of the USA Youth National Team. She was a member of the 2002 and 2003 Junior Olympic National Championship teams, was a two-time Junior Olympic All-American and a 2003 Junior Olympics All-Tournament Selection. Britenriker played on the 2003 Youth National Team that placed fourth at the World Championships.

Meyer was the 2002 Junior Olympics, 16 & under, Most Valuable Player and was a three-time Junior Olympic All-Tournament selection.
