Ohio State Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team (86-70-2) completed their final regular season tournament finishing fifth at the Fossum Invitational. The Buckeyes shot a three-round total of 16-over-par, 863 to place in the Top 5 for the fifth time this season. The event was held at the par-72, 7,013-yard Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.
Zach Doran (Jr., Dublin, Ohio/Columbus) led the way for the Buckeyes as he tied for fourth with a three-round total of 212. Doran posted a final round score of 71, which marked his 15th round under-par this season.
Also turning in a strong tournament for Ohio State was Junior Dave Bieterman (Dayton, Ohio/Archbishop Alter), as he finished the tournament 15th with a three-round score of 218. While at the Fossum Invitational, Bieterman tied his low round of 68 and posted his lowest finish while at Ohio State.
James Lepp of Illinois led all individuals with a three-round total of 8-under-par, 208, while Kent State and Illinois tied for first with a score of even-par 864.
The Buckeyes return to action next week at the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington, Ind.
