Women’s Lacrosse Moves Up To Ninth In The IWLCA Poll – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association has ranked Ohio State ninth this week after Buckeye wins over seventh-ranked Cornell (11-10 in overtime) Friday on the road and at home against California (12-6) Sunday. OSU’s No. 9 ranking is the highest the Buckeyes have been ranked by the IWLCA poll. Ohio State finished the 2002 season at 12th and began the 2003 season at 11th.
The Buckeyes are 10-2 overall this season and 3-0 in the American Lacrosse Conference. Ohio State is 6-1 against ranked teams this season including wins over two Top-10 teams: Cornell and then No. 9 North Carolina (10-8).
Ohio State returns to action in the American Lacrosse Conference with a 1 p.m., Sun., April 20 contest against No. 17 Vanderbilt (5-6, 2-2)
