Radinovic Selected 2003-04 Men’s Basketball Captain – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Velimir Radinovic, a senior center, has been selected by a vote of his teammates to be the 2003-04 Ohio State men’s basketball captain, Jim O’Brien, head men’s basketball coach, announced Thursday.
“I couldn’t be any happier Velimir has been selected by his teammates as our team captain,” O’Brien said. “He has grown so much as a person since he first arrived here at Ohio State. He has worked very hard, has handled himself well and has demonstrated a selflessness that has been refreshing.”
Radinovic, a 7-footer from Toronto, Ontario, is a three-year letterwinner at Ohio State. He has averaged nearly six points a game after a career-high average of 9.3 points as a junior. He also pulled down a career-high 6.1 points a game last season.
In three seasons, Radinovic has played in 81 games, starting 53. He has scored on nearly 53 percent of his shots from the field (156-297) and on 71 percent of his foul shots (140-197) during his Buckeye career.
