Two Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes Receive Academic Honors – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s lacrosse Trisha Miller (Sr., Chadds Ford, Pa.) and Alexia Vogler (Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) have been named to the 2002 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic All-American Squad. Both student-athletes had previously been named academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athletes.
Miller, a defender, had 41 ground balls, caused 23 turnovers and had 18 draw controls this past season. Vogler, a midfielder, had nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points this season. She also collected 17 ground ball, 11 caused turnovers and 12 draw controls.
Their play contributed to the success of the women’s lacrosse program this season that finished 11-5 overall and 4-2 in the American Lacrosse Conference (2nd place tie). The Buckeyes made the NCAA Championship for the first time in the history of the program. Ohio State finished the season ranked 12th in the final IWLCA Poll.
