Men’s Golf Moves Into Sixth Place after Second Day of Furman Intercollegiate – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio–The Ohio State men’s golf team finished the second round of competition at the Furman Intercollegiate today in Greenville, S.C., in sixth place, firing a 298 (+12). The Buckeyes were led by seniors Jason Oien (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) and Ryan Dennis (Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), who each fired a second round 73 (+1).
Furman University (291+291=583), the tournament host, fell into a first-place tie with Coastal Carolina (296+287=583) for the tournament at seven-over.
Virginia Tech’s Brendon De Longe (71+69=140) fired a second round 3-under 69 to pull two strokes in front of a pack of five golfers at 2-under (142).
