Men’s Golf Finishes First Day at Furman Intercollegiate in 8th – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio–The Ohio State men’s golf team finished the first round of competition at the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C. 9 strokes off the lead (300), in eighth place. The Buckeyes were led by Jason Collins (Ironton, Ohio/Ironton), who fired a first day 72 (E), is currently in eighth place.
Furman University, the tournament host, has a two stroke lead over second place East Carolina with its opening round 291 (+3).
East Carolina’s Jonathan Hill and Furman’s David Sligh are tied for first place after the first eighteen hole as each fired a 3-under 69.
