Women’s Lacrosse Player Chosen for International Competition – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State women’s lacrosse midfielder Kylee Reade (Jr., London, Ontario/Sir Fredrick Banting) has been named to Team Canada for the IFWLA World Cup July 7-14 in High Wycombe, England.
Teammate Amy Tulk (Fr., West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was named as an alternate for Team Canada.
Reade finished the 2001 season with 10 points off six goals and four assists. She finished fourth on the team with 40 groundballs.
Tulk finished her freshman season for the Buckeyes tied for fifth in total points with 20 off 15 goals and five assists. She also picked up 27 groundballs.
Team Canada achieved its best result in 1982, winning the bronze medal in the inaugural World Cup.
World Cup pool play begins July 7 and continues to July 9. Team Canada is scheduled to open against Scotland. The championship game is scheduled for July 14.
