Women’s Rowing Sweeps Cincinnati – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio–The No. 7 Ohio State women’s rowing team swept a Regatta against Cincinnati, winning the first and second varsity races as well as the first and second novice races at the Griggs Reservoir on the Scioto River.%^$
%^$ The OSU first varsity eight won its race with a time 6:40 to Cincinnati’s 7:11. The Buckeye second varsity “A” eight finished with a time of 7:03. The OSU second varsity “B” eight checked in with a time of 7:21. The Bearcat second varsity eight finished with a time of 7:28.%^$
%^$The OSU first novice eight finished with a time of 7:35 to UCs 7:48. The second novice eight, competing in their first race of the season, won with a time of 7:37. Cincinnati finished with a time of 8:28.%^$
%^$”It’s always nice to win,” Andy Teitelbaum, OSU head coach, said. “We are certainly glad to sweep the regatta. Times were a little slower because of the conditions. It was windy out there, but I’m happy with the way we handled the weather.%^$
%^$”I am especially happy for our second novices. This was the first time they were able to race this year. They certainly won their face by an awful lot. That was a good experience for them, starting out their collegiate career.”%^$
%^$OSU plays host to Big Ten foes Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa along with Clemson, Southern California and Kansas next Saturday, April 14, at the Griggs Reservoir on the Scioto River.%^$
