Women’s Lacrosse Downs Lehigh, 14-4 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team downed Lehigh, 14-4 on enemy turf Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Buckeyes improve its record to 6-4 overall and Lehigh falls to 1-8 overall.
Ohio State used two three-goal runs in both halves as the Buckeyes pulled away from the Mountain Hawks. Megan Mirick (Jr., Burke, Va./Robinson) and Tracey Bounds (So., Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) both scored three goals apiece to help OSU hand Lehigh its sixth loss in a row. Also taking part in the slaughter was, Shannon Wilson (So. Crystal Beach, Ont./Lakeshore Catholic) by netting two goals and tallying two assists.
In goal, Megan Barnett (Jr. Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) shut down Lehigh, who had many opportunities, by stopping 15 shot while only giving up four goals.
The Buckeyes return to action Tuesday, March 10 at 4 p.m. when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to battle Duquesne University.
