Bhavsar Places Second at International Competition – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore gymnast and U.S. National Team member Raj Bhavsar (Houston, Texas), the 2001 NCAA Parallel Bars Champion, finished second on parallel bars at Moscow Stars of the World. The competition was an international event including some of the top gymnasts in the world, held April 27-29 in Moscow, Russia.
In the event final, Bhavsar scored a 9.300 to place ahead of two-time world champion Ivan Ivankov of Belarus and behind first-place Vasily Tsolakidis (9.600) of Greece.
Bhavsar advanced to the event finals in all three events he competed in. In the preliminaries, he finished fifth on pommel horse, sixth on rings and sixth on parallel bars.
