Women’s Lacrosse Downed by No.1 Maryland, 19-2 – Ohio State Buckeyes

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team (5-3 overall) fell to No. 1 Maryland, 19-2, at Penn State’s Bigler Field Sunday. Maryland (9-0 overall) was led by top scorer Allison Comito, who netted three goals in the first half and one after the break. Also heading up the Terapins attack were Courtney Hobbs and Quinn Carney, who both tallied three goals each.
The Buckeyes fought back with a goal scored by Alexia Vogler ( So., Ellicott City, Md. / Centennial) in the first half, making it 10-1 at the break. The Buckeyes attempted another comeback with a goal scored by Shannon Wilson (So., Crystal Beach, Ont. / Lakeshore Catholic), but were unable to bridge the gap making the Terapins victorious with a 19-2 final score.
The Buckeyes return to action Friday April 6, when they’ll face Temple. The game begins at 3 p.m.
