Men’s Golf Stands 15th After Two Rounds at Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational. – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team shot a 603 in its first two rounds of action at the Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational, hosted at the par-72 Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., Saturday. The Buckeyes hold 15th place in the talent-laden field. The tourney features 10 of the Top-20 teams and 15 of the Top-20 players in the country.
Top-ranked Georgia and No. 3 Clemson are tied after two rounds of play. Both teams stand at 567 (-9) through 36 holes. Host Georgia Southern is hot on their heels with a 571.
The Buckeyes were led in the first two rounds by Jason Oien (Jr., New Albany, Ohio/Westerville North), who carded a 147 (+3), including a 1-under-par 147 in the second round. He is tied for 30th place after two rounds. David Wagenseller (Jr., Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) also posted a round of 71 in the second round en route to a 36-hole score of 149.
Mike Austin (Sr., Burton, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic) recorded a 152 through two rounds, while Ryan Dennis (Jr., Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) shot a 158. Justin Collins (So., Ironton, Ohio/Ironton) fired a 160 to round out the Buckeyes’ scorecard.
The final round begins at 8 a.m. Sunday.
