%^$%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team downed Ohio University, 18-6, Saturday afternoon in its season opener at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Buckeyes stepped up and maintained a solid offensive attack, as they scored nine goals in each half.%^$

The Buckeyes were lead by Caroline Weatherill (Fr., Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) who scored four goals on five shots. Amy Tulk (Fr., West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Erin Andersen (Sr., Huntington, N.Y./Huntington), Tracey Bounds (So., Ellicott City, Md./ Mt. Heberon), Shannon Wilson(So., Crystal Beach, Ont./Lakeshore Catholic), and Megan Mirick (Jr., Burke,Va./Robinson), who also had one assist, each contributed to the OSU victory with two goals apiece.%^$

The Buckeyes return to action at 4 p.m., March 16, when they play host to Colgate at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. OSU hits the road for the first time two days later when it faces Boston University at St. Joes., March 18.%^$
