The Buckeyes completed two rounds of golf today at the 24th annual SunTrust Gator Invitational being held today and tomorrow in Gainesville, Fla. Ohio State ended the day, scoring 281-280=561. The tournament is at the University of Florida Golf Course (par 70, 6,300 yards) and will be completed tomorrow after round three.%^$
The College of Charleston is in first place after the second round, scoring 273-271=544. Camilo Benedelli of Florida is the top player so far, scoring 66-64=130. Mike Austin (Sr., Burton, Mich./Flint Power Catholic) is leading for the Buckeyes, scoring 65-71=136 (- 4) for a tie in eighth place. Ryan Dennis (Jr., Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) is in 23rd place shooting a two-round total of 140. David Wagenseller (Jr., Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) is in 31st place shooting 141 (+1) at the end of round two and Jason Oien (Jr., New Albany, Ohio/Westerville North) shot a two-round total of 144 for 44th place. Chris Emanuel (Sr., Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa) is in 69th place shooting a two-round total of 150.%^$
