Volleyball’s Virtue Ranked As Top Setter In The Country – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State setter Katie Virtue (Jr., St. Charles, Ill.) leads the country, statistically, in assists per game with a 14.12 average in the final regular season rankings release by the NCAA. Virtue has 1,384 assists on the season in 98 games. She also was the top setter in the Big Ten Conference in league statistics with a 14.49 per game average. Virtue, who was named to the All-Big Ten squad earlier this week, is the Ohio State career leader in assists per game with a 13.89 per game average. Her 4,377 assists in 308 games places her second on the OSU career list for assists.
BUCKEYES HOST 1ST/2ND ROUND NCAA MATCHES THIS WEEKEND
The Ohio State women’s volleyball team will participate in its 13th-consecutive NCAA Championship hosting first and second round matches this weekend. OSU (25-3) will face Robert Morris (30-6) Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. Cincinnati (22-7) will play Xavier (25-5) in the other first-round match at 5 p.m. The Friday winners return at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1. That winner will advance to regional play at a site to be determined. The facility will open 90 minutes prior to the first match each night (3:30 p.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR NCAA MATCHES
Tickets for the matches will be available at The Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office in The Jerome Schottenstein Center. An all-session public ticket is $12.00. A student all-session ticket is $8.00. All-session tickets are only available through Thursday. One-day tickets are available at $8.00 for the public and $5.00 for students. Tickets may be purchased by calling 1-800-GO-BUCKS.
