%^$%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio-Jim Brown, head coach of the Ohio State men’s golf team, announced the signing of two highly-touted student-athletes Wednesday.%^$
%^$David Vallina of Burgettstown (Pa.) High School, and Peter Riddell of Pointe Claire, Quebec, have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to play golf for The Ohio State University beginning in the fall of 2002.%^$
%^$Brown said both have the credentials to contribute early in their careers.%^$
%^$”We lose four seniors after this season,” Brown said. “I expect these two young men to come in and contribute right away.”%^$
%^$Both bring a long list of accomplishments to the Buckeye program.%^$

%^$The Buckeyes, currently ranked No. 10 in the Golfweek and No. 12 in the Golf World Collegiate Coaches polls, finished the 2001 fall season with four Top 5 finishes, including the team title at the Aztec Invitational Nov. 5-6 in San Diego, Calif. The 2002 spring season gets underway Feb. 9-10 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.%^$
%^$Ohio State will host the 2002 NCAA Tournament on The OSU Scarlet Course May 27-June 1. It will be the 10th time the national championship will be played in Columbus on the Scarlet Course.
