Men’s Golf Sits in 13th Place After Day One of the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

Toledo, OH – The Ohio State University men’s golf team shot a 36-hole, opening day score of 621,in the first-annual Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational, held at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.
South Carolina leads the 13-team field with a score of 577. Nick Watney of Fresno State and Travis Hurst of Kansas lead all scorers, shooting a one under par score of 141. Watney shot a course record 68 in the first round.
The Buckeyes low 36-hole total was carded by Jr. Jason Oien, who scored a 151 to earn him a tie for 27th-place.
Play will conclude Tuesday, Sept. 19 with the final 18 holes. Tee off times will begin at 8:30 a.m. and follow in nine-minute increments.
