COLUMBUS, Ohio–Mike Austin (Jr., Burton, Mich/Flint Powers Catholic) and David Wagenseller (So., Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) were two of 10 golfers named to the All-Big Ten Team, tying Ohio State with Northwestern and Purdue for the most representatives on the team.
Wagenseller was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week after he captured first place at the FirstEnergy Invitational in Akron (April 22-23) with a score 214, including his career-low round of 67 in the first round of the invite. Austin averaged 74.4 shots over 30 rounds, second on the team to Wagenseller. His top finish of the season came at the FirstEnergy Invitational where he placed third with a score of 216. He also fired his career-low round of 70 in the first round of the FirstEnergy.
