Women’s Lacrosse Hammers Rangers 23-0 – Ohio State Buckeyes

DENVER, Colo. — Ohio State scored 19 goals in the first half and cruised to a 23-0 victory over Regis University in NCAA women’s lacrosse action Saturday at Regis Field. Ohio State moves to 5-2 on the season, while the Rangers fall to 0-8.
The Buckeyes took a 10-0 lead just 10 minutes into the game. Sophomore Trish Derwart led the points attack with seven, off two goals and five assists. The balanced offense saw 11 different goal scorers with Tracey Bounds, Celeste Cianfrani, Gill Grim and Alexia Vogler each scoring three goals.
Ohio State converted on 23 of 26 shots and only allowed Regis to take one shot on the afternoon.
Starting goalie Megan Barnett saw only 16 minutes of action and did not record a save. Stacy Williams finished the last 44 minutes and recorded one save.
