Junior Michael Redd eclipsed the 500-point scoring mark thisseason with his 21 points vs. ASU. He now has 505 on the year. Heis only the second Buckeye to score 500+ in a season three times.Jerry Lucas is the other. Lucas scored 710 in 1960, 671 in 1961 and609 in 1962. Redd led the Big Ten in scoring as a freshman (21.9ppg.) with 658 points and followed that with a 703-point effortlast year as a sophomore.%^$

Ohio State is 19-1 in its first NCAA Tournament game in 20appearances. The Buckeyes have not lost their first game in thetournament in the last eight appearances. Ohio State is 9-9 in itssecond game in the tournament.%^$
