Recap| Box Score| Notes
Ohio State head coach Jim O’Brien
“Obviously we are thrilled to win this game. We felt this was one of our most critical games and we had to find a way to win. We came out in the second half and responded well.
“Jarrett Stephens and Joe Crispin are two of the toughest players to guard in this conference. They did things very well. It was not that we played poorly.
“Doylan (Robinson) deserved a shot to play today. He guarded very well and gave us a spark. We needed a guy who’s bigger and has some speed to guard Crispin.”
Doylan Robinson
“I didn’t know I would get this much playing time. I am happy that I could come off the bench and contribute.”
Michael Redd
“This game helps us keep pace with Michigan State and gives us a lot of confidence going into next week.
“In the second half we finally started to shoot well. We have been getting good looks, but they haven’t been falling. Today they did.
“Crispin got a taste of what I face in practice every day. Doylan is a great player who can guard very well.”
Scoonie Penn
“Doylan can give you a lot. He won’t always take a shot, but he is consistent and hard-working. He gave us a lift off the bench today”
Penn State head coach Jerry Dunn
“We had a real solid performance from all of our players, especially the bench. We really took care of the ball. The first half we were consistent with scoring and then in the second, our first and second options, a lot of their shots didn’t fall.
(On Ken Johnson) “When we got behind in the second, we had to do more dribble-driving, which gave Johnson more opportunities to block our shots.”
Penn Sttae’s Joe Crispin
“It hurt when they have two easy buckets. We were both playing hard, but they (Ohio State) were really going after the ball. I think it was a closer game than it ended up.”
