
Justin Pippen Joins Ohio State for 2026-27 Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler officially announced the addition of guard Justin Pippen for the 2026-27 season. Pippen has played the last two seasons at Michigan and Cal.
“Justin is going to be a great addition to our program,” Diebler said. “I have known him and his family for a long time, and he embodies everything our program is about. He’s an experienced guard that plays at a high level on both ends of the floor. I am thrilled to add him to our Buckeye family.”
Pippen has played in 60 games over for his first two collegiate seasons, averaging 14.2 points, 2.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds. At Michigan, he played in 28 games for a team that won the Big Ten Tournament and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Last year at Cal, he played in and started 32 games while earning honorable mention All-ACC honors. He was the Bears’ second-leading scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game and led the team at 4.6 assists per game. He recorded 61 steals, which ranked him fourth on the Bears’ single-season steals list. Pippen was also second on the team in blocked shots.
Pippen was a Top 75 recruit in the 2024 class out of Sierra Canyon High School in California. He is the son of NBA Champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Scottie Pippen.
