Freshman Gymnast Travels to Colorado – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State gymnast Jamey Houle (Fr., Enfield, Conn., all-around) and assistant coach Peter Landry traveled to Colorado Springs this week to spend time at the Junior National Team Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center.%^$
%^$Houle is a two-time Junior Olympic national champion (1998, `00) and a current and two-time member of the U.S. Junior National Team (1998-00). He competed on the first-place team at the 1998 Junior Pan-American Championships and placed first at state championships twice.%^$
%^$Landry is in his second season as a Buckeye assistant after an outstanding Ohio State career. A two-time All-American for the Buckeyes from 1996-99, Landry was one of eight finalists for the prestigious Nissen-Emery Award in 1999. During his four years at OSU, Landry’s accomplishments include earning All-America honors at the NCAA Championships on two different events – on the still rings as a junior and on the parallel bars as a senior. He was the Big Ten parallel bars champion his junior season.%^$
%^$Houle and Landry will return Monday and resume workouts with the rest of the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team.
