COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team defeated No. 8 Michigan State 228.275-221.925 Saturday in East Lansing, Mich. The Buckeyes topped their team season-highs in four events en route to the meet crown.%^$
%^$ The Buckeyes were once again led by junior Jamie Natalie (Hockessin, Del.), who claimed the all-around title for the second week in a row. His all-around score of 58.175 topped MSU’s Brad Golden (55.700) and OSU’s Raj Bhavsar (Fr., Houston, Texas) (55.500).%^$
%^$ Daren Lynch (Jr., Londonderry, N.H.) won the meet title in the vault with a career-best 9.800. Freshmen Dick Huntwork (Pickerington, Ohio) and Michael Evans (Houston, Texas) tied with Michigan State’s Brad Golden for the floor exercise title with scores of 9.650. Natalie placed first in the still rings (9.800), the parallel bars (9.925) and the horizontal bar (9.850) and finished second in the pommel horse with a career-high 9.900.%^$
