COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State mens golf team is in eighth place after the first round of competitionat the Compaq U.S. Collegiate in Lecanto, Fla. Ryan Dennis (Fr., Stow, Ohio) paced the Buckeyes with a career-best 72 to finish tied for 16th, six shots behind leader Paul Casey of Arizona State. The Sun Devils lead the team standings as well, six shots ahead of second place Minnesota.
Chris Emanuel (So., Ottumwa, Iowa) and Albert Hromulak (Sr., Johnstown, Pa.) are one stroke behind Dennis at +1.
The second and third rounds will be televised on ESPN on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
