Men’s Gymnastics Drops No. 1 Penn State – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State mens gymnastics team defeated the No. 1 team in the nation 230.950-228.050.
Tim Elsner (Sr., Middletown, N.J.) won the floor exercise with a score of 9.850.
Penn State’s Brandon Stefaniak took first in pommel horse competition (9.775), while teammate Danny Beigel won the still rings (9.850).
OSUs Jamie Natalie (So., Hockessin, Del.) and Elsner tied on the vault with a score of 9.650. On the parallel bars, Natalie completed a solid routine and took first with a score of 9.950.
Doug Stibel (Sr., Canton, Mich.) had an impressive performance on the horizontal bars, as he scored a 9.950 and sealed a first place win. The Buckeye senior class now carries a 24-1 record in dual meets. The win over Penn State gives them 10 consecutive home wins.
Next weekend, the Buckeyes will travel to Champaign, Ill. to face No. 7 Illinois.
