HONOLULU, Hawaii – Ohio State could not overcome a strong Hawaii (2-0) team, losing 15-11, 15-8, 15-8 in the second round of the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic.
Rosie Snow scored a team-high 15 kills with Mandi Clark and Angelee Abbring adding 11 apiece.
In game one, OSU kept it close tying the match at nine. Hawaii scored the next five points and lead 14-10, serving game point. The Buckeyes stopped Hawaii for four game points before losing 15-11.
Hawaii was up 8-1 in game two, but cut the lead to 8-4. Hawaii served game point at 14-7, but failed twice before scoring a 15-8 win.
The Buckeyes fell behind in game three, 8-3, but closed the gap to 9-7 before Hawaii ended the game, 15-8, taking the match.
