Jen Flynn Selected Unanimous Pre-Season All-Big Ten – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior setter Jen Flynn (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore middle blocker Dana Stearns (Bexley, Ohio) were named today to the 1998 Pre-season All-Big Ten team. The 5-9 Flynn was an 1997 honorable mention All-Big Ten selection while Stearns, at 6-1, was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season.%^$
The 14 member squad was selected by a vote of the coaches. (Iowa was unable to participate in the voting.) %^$
The Buckeyes were selected to finish sixth in the Big Ten Conference in a pre-season vote of the coaches. Ohio State was one point behind fifth place Minnesota, while two-time defending co-champion Penn State was a unanimous choice to win a third consecutive title.%^$
