Lacrosse Falls 11-7 to Vanderbilt – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio- The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team suffered it’s second loss in two days against the Vanderbilt Commodores 11-7, falling below 500 for the first time this season.
The Buckeyes were down 5-4 at the six minute mark when the Commodores scored two quick goals right before the half to take the wind out of Ohio State’s sail. The last goal of the first half was scored with one second left by junior Andrea Legath, with four goals in the first half.
Ohio State battled back to bring the score within two goals at the 12:53 mark when Laurie Rybak (Sr., Worthington, Ohio) scored her second goal of the day. Unfortunately, Ohio State’s efforts were not good enough as Vandy scored three goals within a minute to seal the victory. Gillan Grim (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio) tallied two goals in for OSU
The Buckeyes are on the road this week battling Davidson on April 10 at 3 p.m. and Virginia Tech. April 11 at 1 p.m. Ohio State returns home April 14 to host Denison.
